Hi,
In this exemple, there is also a strange behavior.
- On the channel 27-28-29-29 and 37-38-39-40, the same effect with three color.
On the screen an on Capture it looks normal
But the selection button, are not synchrone , and the blue (27 and 37) are completely asynchrone and not full illuminated.
And the 28-28-30 and 38-39-40 button are not blinking !
- Another thing I've noticed for a long time is that the action of the physical buttons (even the touch screen) is not always taken into account, and that's annoying. And it's not a question of push strength, but of software latency.
Is there not possibility to reduce this latency ?
Have a good day.
Thanks. Can you attach your show file? We need to see what device types you are using.
Are the personalities from the standard library or custom made?
In general, we still need information from you about the personalities you use.
Thanks. I will have a look.
I notice that you have 22 different device types. Are all these devices missing from the standard library so that you had to create them in the personality editor?
No, there are not 22 different device type.
There are 6 different device type, three others are dimmers. See attached doc.
And, ALL six are created with the personality editor.
The video was done on the CUE 65.

I looked inside the show file and there are 22 custom personalities in the file (this might be from earlier sessions or earlier versions of your show file). However, not all of them are patched to devices.
Just curious: Are all these special devices that aren't in the standard library? Do you think there are devices that we should add? The personality editor is a last resort if the personality is missing from the supplied library. We try to add as many new devices as we can in our regular library updates.
No they are not special devices, but these references are not in your library.
Yes it would be nice if you could add them, I have all the documents.
I understood the problem of the personality editor, but there those I did not find them, there are probably equivalents.
By about the file of 22 devices, it worries me !
How to clean things that I do not see?
I actually started the show in version 2.0.
There is no way to clean out unused personalities from your show files. But it shouldn't be a problem to have them there. They won't do any harm.Only personalities that are used by patched devices will be active.
ok I just understood that the library that I load needs only to contain the used devices. But as I have several projects for different rooms, I put all the exotic projectors met in the same library. And they are use in other project. Should I do otherwise?
You can have all your devices in the same library. Only the ones that you actually use gets copied into the show file.
But how did you see 22 devices in my show, where I only use 6 different ?
Whenever you patch a fixture, it is copied into your showfile.
I presume this same showfile has been re-used for a long time, with many fixtures being patched and unpatched and "saved as" many times.
PS: If the showfile has ever been used with a 2.5.0 BETA build, please start it afresh from File > New and reboot.
The 2.5 beta builds tried out several different ways of calculating color, some of which gave undesired results. As that data is stored in the showfile, it would still be present when loaded in the released version.
1) Of course this is the file that was used for the beta test. If not how to test the beta if not with real show ?
2) - No this show was created in version 2.0 with a blank cue list. But as I use the same projectors as in the previous show, I kept the patch list and changed the DMX addresses.
3) I'm not sure of your analysis, but I'm going to create a blank show with the same projectors and the same effect and we'll see if you're right.
As expected, the show construction has nothing to do with the problem!
Here is a new show start from zero with four times the same device (but created by me with the personnality editor), the same effect,
And here is the result, totally identical.
the video
video show 0
-No sync
-asynchone blue switch blinks
-the others switch no blinking.
In short .... I believe more in a problem of personality editor, so I expect a maj of the library with my devices to solve some color problems, but the other problem ....
And the same with a device coming from your library.
and the video with inside library
Result :more consistent, but not perfect.
From the latest video and the related show file, it looks to me as the bump indicator works correctly when using a personality from the standard library. Is this correct? Or is the video trying to show some other problem?
What do you mean "the bump indicator" ?
Normally, the selection keys should all flash, or ?
I mean the indication in the bump/selection key. This key should show the current color that the fader will control and be brighter when selected.
Of course, but the bumpers should blink weakly, as for the other effects. It's not very important, I understand there are other priorities. It's just to draw attention to the dysfunction of the bumpers.
Which, by the way, do not react as the "offline" software.
