First time HS stage manager, how do I make a calling script?

I'm a high school student and I'm going to be calling my first "real show" next week! I've asm'd for a few things and sm'd for a few smaller things (a dance concert and a singing concert), but those didn't require scripts, just a few blackouts and sound cues.

Now I'm doing a show with a couple performances and I'm super excited, but I have no idea how to mark up a script without it being digital. On my laptop I can just highlight the word when the lights or sound needs to go, but that won't be an option this time and I have no idea what to do when marking a paper script. I've heard to use post-it tabs to mark cues on the page, but how do I know when to call it if they just sit on the side of the page? Should I highlight it in the script when they should go?

If you could give me advice on what to do or post a picture of what you're calling script looks like, that would be amazingly helpful!
