Firnware

I have a coloursource console. Can I update my coloursource spot firmware via the console? Or have got to have the dedicated update cable?

You can not update via the console.

You will need the ETC Whip, Gadget or a Gateway. Our free software UpdaterAtor can push firmware to it. If you have a ColorSource fixture above v1.3 and you have one fixture on a higher firmware you can actually send the firmware from one fixture to other ColorSource fixtures of any model via a dmx cable. This method is explained in the user manual in ColorSource.
