Classic vs Win 7 touchscreen

Question

We have an ELO touchscreen monitor we use with our XP based ETC Element. If we go the upgrade route for the Element to a Win 7 motherboard, SSD drive, Embedded Win 7, etc. will the ELO touch screen still work as a touchscreen? 
 In other words, is a "Classic Touchscreen" also, by default, a Windows 7 compatible touchscreen?

A "Classic" touchscreen is not by default Windows 7 compatible. However, we do include the Elo drivers in our configuration for the Windows 7 Embedded based consoles, and so you would be able to continue using those monitors as touchscreens following the update. Keep in mind they will still be single-point touch. :)
