Feature Request: proportional submaster

I would like to see something like a proportional additive/inhibitive submaster. This was found as a Grandmaster setting on the old Compulite desks.

It works as follows:

Submaster fader at 50%: nothing changes to the channels stored in the submaster for active channels

Submaster below 50%: works as an inhibitive submaster for active  channels.

Submaster above 50%: proportionally adds to the channels stored in the submaster when they are above zero and active.

This is useful for balancing house front lights with the touring backlights, to adjust for 2k's on one day and 1k's the next, temporarily give maximum brightness to  standlights or workers, while keeping black-outs dark, etc., etc.

  • Hi,

it's an interesting idea. (However the name would have to be different, since "proportional master" already exists in the software.)

As a workaround meanwhile: If you'd put your frontlights on an Inhibitive Sub which sits at 50% but at the same time you apply a Proportion of 200% to those channels in Patch ...? Then they'd still go out in Blackouts and you could boost them when necessary.
