RVI v.s. RPU

Question

Hi All, 
 Does anyone know the difference between a RVI and a RPU?

Basically the RPU is designed to be Master or Backup, RVI is a client

Another way to put what Ueli said: An RPU does processing and is essentially a rack mountable console without a face panel. An RVI doesn't contribute to output, and all it's processing is devoted to video- so it can client and show data, and be used as a control interface, but never controls your rig itself.
