I know nothing about light boards. I'm doing a show in an auditorium with an Elements V2 ETC light board. Someone accidentally pushed one of the buttons (she thinks it was the small clicks button under the house lights slider) and then we had trouble turning off the house lights. We were able to bring down the stage lights, but the house lights wouldn't come down. We turned off the board, but when we turned it back on, nothing worked. None of the lights would turn on.
We're desperate to figure this out. We haven't been able to get ahold of anyone from the school, and we have a show tomorrow afternoon. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
how are you trying to turn on lights? from the faders? from cues (Go button)? manually (keypad and then setting a level e.g. with the intensity wheel)?
when you try to turn on lights what does the monitor say? the levels on the monitor either correspond with what's happening on stage (i.e. monitor shows nothing happening) or with the commadns on the board (i.e. monitor shows levels)

Monitor will say, i.e., 100% if I turn a fader up but light does nothing
are you in Live mode? (the command line on the monitor says LIVE in gold letters)
select a channel (type 1 Enter, where 1 is a channel number of a light that doesn't react). press About.
in About on the right hand side click Patch. does it show the correct DMX address for that channel and does it say 255 in the DMX column if channel 1 is at 100%?
I think I was in blind mode, then we tried switching to live to fix it with no luck
I don't know about the second question.

what was the problem?
We're not sure what happened originally, although someone accidentally pressed a button on the board. But ultimately the DMX had been turned to offline.
Somehow DMX Output had been disabled, and their patch had additionally been deleted. We opened the show, enabled DMX Ouput and regained control! Happy I could help you out. Ueli, thanks for pointing them to support!
