I currently am utilizing v1.5.0 . Is there an upgrade? Where is it? How to upgrade it?
I appreciate your help. Thank you!
Is it this one: SmartSoft v3.0.2 for Windows 7 and 8.1 and 10 ?
no SmartFade Software 3.0.2.
if your current version really is 1.5 it would be wise to allow for enough testing after the update to make sure you're comfortable with all the changes that happened.
Ok, so it is the one below that one I posted above correct? Also, is there somewhere that I can see what those changes are?
i'm not sure. the last smartfade software (3.0.2) update is from 8 years ago...
The SmartFade Software version 3.0.2 is the current/last version of SmartFade software that you'd want to end up at, but if you are coming from version 1.5, your show file format will not be compatible unless you stop at software version 1.7 and resave your show file again
Version 1.7 is available here: http://www.etcconnect.com/workarea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=10737463001
To find all of the changes between version 1.5 and 3.0.2, please review the release notes (available here: http://www.etcconnect.com/Products/Legacy/Console/Smart-Family/SmartFade/Documentation.aspx)
Smartfade 1248: Can I control the lights via a Midi note with this board?
Yes - The MIDI spec is in the Manual. RTM
stix, I can't seem to find that in the manual....
try this: https://www.etcconnect.com/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=10737459833
Its old (version 1.5) I have a SFML and it has full midi spec in its manual which I think is the same as for 1248 so you could try that. You can also connect to midi monitor software and move faders, bumps, GO, Stack etc to learn what is sent out when its a master. Note: Memory faders only work - not channel faders.
Ok, I guess it doesn't help as the software I utilize sends music notes as midi signals. I feel absolutely lost... lol
Thanks for the information. I have downloaded Midi Monitor software. I see the UM-ONE showing up in the monitor but the ETC SF 1248 isn't showing at all within the Monitor. I am using Snoize Midi Monitor. Any idea? Thank you in advance stix.
