I need to patch 4 separate Supernight LED light strips to ETC Element light board.

I need to patch 4 separate Supernicht LED light strips to ETC Element light board. I do not see this in the fixture library. I read about how to patch LED lights but would appreciate someone leading me through the patch process for these lights. Thank you!

  • My guess is that the 3 digit display on the decoder wants to show the DMX start address of the decoder. So if you found a range of the addresses you need in your patch, you want to make the display show the lowest of those addresses. like 001 or 500 or whatever that lowest address is.

regarding scrolling the Patch display. how did you try? you should be able to scroll with either a mouse wheel or the up and down arrow buttons, provided that the Patch display is the active tab. the active tab is the one that has a gold or blue border around it.
to get the patch tab active you can either click its tab  or press the [Patch] button on your element.

  • Thank you for answering so quickly - I understand what you have explained regarding the decoder  - it makes sense thank you again.

As for scrolling, I was in patch - I even closed patch and opened it again. I was unable to scroll through my patch list using the mouse wheel or up/down arrow buttons. I'm hoping it's a matter of shutting the light board down and starting it up again but I'm not sure since I was able to scroll in my other tabs.

  • I was able to set the decoder correctly and patch all the lights with your help. Thank you so much for your timely answers and your patience! Have a good day and thank you again.
