Hog4 to eNode 8

So, i have a hedge hog 4 that i am trying to connect to my enode8 to expand universes. Im running ethernet from the console to the node, IP and Submask addresses are set in parallel to eachother and the hog shows the additional 2 universes (total of 4 now) but i still dont have any signal to my fixtures from the node. if i connect to the console via universe 1 or 2 i have control. Any suggestions?

I have a feeling its a setting in the console itself, but im just shooting in the dark on this one.

Thanks

  • Basically there's only a few things to remember when working with Art-Net nodes.
    Set your FixtureNet IP to 2.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x
    Set your Subnet 255.0.0.0
    Gateway can be 0.0.0.0
    In console Art-Net Output tab set what console universe is going to be your Art-Net universe.
    Like your console universe 1 = Art-Net 0 0, 2 = 0 2 (your console universe => subnet and universe)
    In simple setups everything can be in broadcast mode (IP 255.255.255.255)

    In the nodes
    Set your node to different IP address than your console FixtureNet, but use the same IP range as your console.
    If you used 2 then use it also in the nodes. All servers and nodes should have unique IP.
    Every 4 universes needs an IP of its own in nodes. So if you have a node with 8 universes it uses two IP addresses.
    The final thing is to set your node ports to match your universes. If you want your node's first output to be the same as your console's first universe, set it to the same Art-Net universe (like 0-0). Sometimes Art-Net universes are displayed different way. Like 0-0 = 0, 0-1 = 1 and 1-0 = 16 or 00 = 0 and 0F = 15.
