After installing the PC Version of 3.0, I no longer can connect to the visualizer. Status says: Connecting, Session:No Server. This does not change whether I am connected with an actual console or HogPC on the same PC as WYG. I also do not see the visualizer in the network pane. Port numbers are all the same and HogPC and My FUllboar see each other.
Yeah, it didn't sound like you were suffering from that particular problem either. Just wanted to give it a shot. Okay, so back to the basics, it doesn't sound like the connectivity application is able to find the console in order to download a copy of the DP to the visualizer machine. So, please go and triple check IP address, switches, routers, port numbers, FIREWALL turn OFF, UAC turned to lowest setting. Also please report back the version of Windows you are running.
Running windows 8.1. Firewall is off, UAC is at the lowest. IP's are good, Ports routers and switches are working. The only change was installing 3.0 on the PC. Prior to that we had no problem. HogPC sees the other desks and syncs. It is just connectivity that is not working. Just tried it on my laptop and I am getting the same not able to connect. I don't know what is up, but not getting it on both PC's.
Yeah, we might have identified the problem now. Strangely though that deleting of old files should have worked. In any case let me know what re-installing v2.7.0 connectivity does for ya. Sorry for the trouble. These things are sometimes a bit tricky for us to troubleshoot. Thanks for your patience.
I also noticed a weird glitch using the setup key in hog PC. It does not always go to control panel, network and patch but will give another toolbar related to recording cues. Sometimes happens and sometimes does not.
Awesome. I think we discovered the problem and will patch it in v3.0.1 coming really really soon. In the meantime v2.7.0 should do all you need for connectivity. Thanks for your responses and sticking with us as we figured this one out.
Resolved with today's v3.0.1 software release. Be sure to upgrade the connectivity driver using the Hog Connect MSI installer and WYG should be back up and running for you.
