Copy a running effect

Hello hive mind, looking for a better way to copy a fixture's output (for example: rgb fixture running an intensity effect) to another fixture and keep them in sync. So far I have to record the effect to a pallette, take both fixtures out, then apply the recorded effect to both fixtures. I had hoped just copying one fixture to the other would work but alas not. Any thoughts?

  • Do you mean when the original effect is running from playback, or just in the programmer? If just in the programmer then hitting Blind to stop the effect, then Blind again should start them in sync. If you have sucked the data from a cue or scene, then the effect clocks won't be in sync in the programmer but if you update or merge back into the cue then if you replay it from having no effect running they should start in sync.
