If you would clear an editor you would loose all infos for that cue. So when you open a cue to edit eg because of a wrong color or so and press clear you would loose cue-infos. Hog has more than one one editor, it has the programmer which is the highest level editor, but you can open more editors for cues, scenes or palettes, eg. you are in the middle of a programming session, lot of stuff in the programmer. LD comes up and tells you: in the last cue we, did please dim the key lights 15%. You could then clear your programmer, bring in the key lights to the new value merge to that cue and rebuild your look in programmer or just open the cue in a new editor alter the value, close that editor and be good.
