BUG REPORT? Outputs on DP8K not working v3.12

Here is a nice brain teaser for your morning coffee or afternoon beer, depending on what part of the world this finds you in.
Running v.3.12 on Windows 10 with a DP8K and an Art-Net/sACN network of about 6 switches for around 10 universes of data, nothing plugged into the 5-pin outputs of the DP8K. Noticing some serious latency, about a second at times. As we were troubleshooting we found that while BOTH the on board output screen of the DP and the DMX output window on the server showed output-- levels change, etc.-- no data was coming from the 5-pin outputs.
I plan to roll a DP back to 3.10 or 3.11 and find a non Windows 10 machine and load up the show because I know this will regain the outputs and ditch the latency. And also keep this v3.12 configuration but move the server side over to a console and see if that fixes it. But I'd also be interested in other solutions, like if anyone else has had this and solved it before.

  • Hi,
I've been asking a similar question regarding Super Duper widgets in a different thread.
Try re-installing 3.12 using a DP8k usb upgrade rather than upgrading software from the console, this will fix the 5-pin physical output issue.
This will fix the 5-pin output issue but i still think there is something lurking around regarding DMX outputs and
DP8k's and Widgets especially using Win 10 and firmware.
