Setting up MIDI Timecode is mentioned in further detail in this forum post:

To just get control of your PC with your MIDI controller you need to create a MIDI map with entries(if you're on 3.15.0 and newer) and assign that map to your device, there's an assign to device button located in the bottom left and you just pick your device from it and you should be good to go.
I am using Gadget 2 with ETCnomad key on PC
Hey, i am also trying to get the Korg nanokontrol Studio to Work with hog4. The mapping works great. I used the learn Mode to assign faders and encoders to the korgs faders and knobs. And i assigned the map to the device.
So far so good. But when i end learn Mode nothing happens in hog4 when i move the faders and knobs. Except Messages in the Midi viewer.
What am i missing
Faders and Buttons now Work. I Had to assign Notes to the Buttons. Not CC. And the faders Just Had nothing assigned and now Work perfect in absolute mode.
But i still have No luck with the knobs. I wanted to assign them to encoders but i think they Problem ist, that the korg's knobs have a Stop what hog's encoders should Not have right?
Did you find a usable Setting for the knobs?
I have the nanoKONTROL2, the knobs are 7-bit absolute which means they are good to be faders but not encoders.
For a knob to be able to control an encoder it has to be able to handle Relative Mode. If the MIDI device does not repeat controller values of 0 and 127 then relative mode will not work properly.
