Im using version 1.7.9 on a PC and i don't see this message?

If you are usign a PC maybe right click on the shortcut and run as adminstrator or uninstall/reinstall and see if that helps?

Maybe uninstall and re-install, sometimes i get hese administrator requests and i right click on the Balena etcher shortcut and run as administrator.

Solution: password is the standard mac login password
