Flicking problem with the HPU

Hello, we recently created an Installation using the HPU, the equipment used is Fiilex Q5, Cineo Quantum Studio and DMG SL1 Mix, everything worked perfectly, until they decided to add 3 old Fluotec Cinelight 120, we created the library for this, it only uses two channels (Intensity and Color Temperature) and these devices worked well but suddenly only these lights blink, we already tried changing the wiring, changing the universe and they keep blinking, the client believes that the Control is the one that is wrong, but with the other devices There are no problems, the client on his own checked the equipment with an old DMX control and they did not fail, now I don't know how to make the client see that the problem is with his Cinelight 120 luminaires, could you help with this problem?

  • Usually the easiest way to verify that the console is not the issue is to get one of the problematic fixtures near the console and do a direct DMX line from the console into the fixture.

I am not familiar with the fixture you have listed here, but if any of them use RDM, and RDM is not needed, I recommend turning it off. I have personally had an instance on a gig where RDM caused fixtures to not receive control from the console.

  • Thanks for the reply, I already tried connecting directly to one of the HPU DMX ports and the problem continues, but all the other equipment works fine, only these Fluotec Cinelight 120 are the problem,

  • Could the lights not like the refresh rate?

  • Thanks Gabbi, and is there a way to solve this? I couldn't find where to change the DMX speed.

  • You change it for the applicable Processor in the same place you configure your sACN/Art-Net outputs (open the Network window via [Setup] (Network), select the applicable processor so it highlights, press the (Settings) button at the top of the window, then go to the Output tab)

The top section of the Output tab has the DMX rate settings for the applicable processor

  • Is this correct? and what frequency value could solve the problem, I am seeing it on my PC, and then do it on stage,

  • That is the right section, I do not know what frequency could solve the problem, I have never seen one of those fixtures.

If you change the Inter-slot Time to 0 you can get the refresh rate to 40
