Moving Fixtures don't move after show import from 3.21 to 4.1

Moving Fixtures don't really move after show import from 3.21 to 4.1.
For example when turning from -270° to +270° on the console movers only move by not even 45° in reality
Next example: Fixtures are pointing to 135° though 0° is dialed in.

  • I have had the same problem with my zooms.
    my solution is this:

use Fixture builder to CopyFrom your existing fixture type and call it USER Stairville BS-280 R10 21ch.
    BUILD TYPE.

CHANGE TYPE from your current fixtures to the new USER version.

    LOG OFF AND ON

CHANGE TYPE back to your original version.

    PATCH them.

I had to do this for 5 types of fixture today and solved my issues completely

  • While tinkering with our consoles on Sun/Mon I came to a similar conclusion. I found out that freshly added fixtures work as usual. So I finally tried to change type the fixtures by it self, what obviously did not work. Than I ran out of time and had to switch our boards back to v3.21, because yeah...the show must go on. But I had in mind to change type to a similar fixture and then back. But as the Onyx Fixture Finder sadly is no more it is quite difficult to find your fixtures "siblings" sold under different brands and names.
Doing it with user types of the original type is a great idea.
The only problem is, that one of my movers is a LED Wash with 5 RGBW segments. I guess I have to explode it for this procedure and then cannot "implode" it when switching back? Compound fixtures are still messy when you have to change type them.
And this solution does not fix my problem with virtual colours not working on my Stormy CCs. They can only be controlled via the physical controls and it is not this "limited DMX values" problem as with Pan/Tilt and Zoom.
As I don't have the time to experiment with those issues at the moment I stay at v3.21 for now and maybe ETC meanwhile comes up with a smoother solution.
