Hog 4 and DP8000 networking

Hi, currently battling through putting together a network with 2x Hog 4s and 2x DP8000 (old style blue ones) everything is updated to 4.2.0 (b3753), same IP address range, subnet mask (255.255.255.0). Currently the two consoles are working in a server session with one another but DP8000s keep on making their own server so not able to unlock parameters from them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Hey mate, that's correct apologies for the confusion. All hognet ports are connected together through an unmanaged switch, with another switch dealing with fixture net out of the primary console. Yes outputting sACN for fixture control. I've attached a photo below of the network window to see if it helps my post make sense with the two DP8000s being in a different server ID to the consoles.

  • You need to connect all fixture net's to the network switch. If you use 2 dp8000's you will need to connect both fixture net's of the dp8000's to a network switch. Only connecting the fixture net of the main desk will not work.

So you need to connect de HOG net ports together on a switch and the fixture net ports on a switch of each dp8000.
