Hog always used and will use Hue and Saturation or CMY for Colormixing. When using the Colorpicker you are using Hue and Saturation!!! Which doesnt care how the color is created. This color modell also exists in print and layout-software and so on. Hog also uses these real-world-parameters, so you dont need to care if you are using a CMY or RGB fixture or any other stuff... CMY is bit related to history because all color mixing fixtures used this modell before there was LED and everybody is used to it. I prefer to use HS-System, cause you can get smoother fades, create more exact effects and so on.
