“Recall from” button

I often find myself recalling values from previous cues or cuelists. Currently the syntax to do so is very cumbersome, “list #, cue #, fixture #, copy to, fixture #. This current syntax can go wrong very quickly if you’re working too fast, and next thing you know you’ve not pulled the values into the programmer, but instead created a bunch of cues or whatever.

Would it be possible to create a recall from function that simplifies the syntax to something like #, recall from, cue # (or list #, cue #). It turns a 5-10 keystroke command to a 3-5 keystroke command.

If there already is a better syntax than I currently use I’d love to hear it!

Thanks!

  • The syntax you’re suggesting is actually the same length as the current syntax we have. The difference is that in the correct Hog syntax you are copying to a destination fixture but in your suggestion you’re not specifying a destination fixture, which is why it’s shorter.

Equivalent Hog syntax is currently Cue # Fixture # Copy Enter. It’s the same length.

One of the best things about Hog in my opinion is the consistency of the syntax.
