Start console!

This would have to be on the hardware level.

You can connect the console to a switch of any kind, and as long as the power supply switch is on in the back, you would be good to go.

I have done it simply by having a power strip to the side of the console.

You can RESTART the console by holding [PIG] [OPEN] [DELETE]

Which console are you using?

[PIG] [OPEN] [DELETE] Will ONLY restart the console, it will not turn it on.

Our consoles are actually built to stay on, we literally leave them on all the time here at HES, and will occasionally restart them.

I imagine he's talking about the road hog, if mine is powered off, you need to turn the rocker switch off for a good ten seconds before turning it back on to engage an actual power up.
