Would it be possible to implement a text editor window? Something you could add to a page layout to quickly jot down notes. I imagine it as a window that when selected, you could double press “set” to edit the contents.
I know it isn't exactly an editor like you listed, but you could use the user chat as a way to record notes currently.
Down where the command line is, towards the right there is a speech bubble. If you click there it opens the user chat, and it is designed for users on a network to send messages to each other, but in a single console system it can be your personal notebook. Messages are entered as if in a chat group, and persist even through logging out or shutting down. You can also save the user chat into a saved view.
