Regarding tap sync for running effects, HES is looking into possibly implementing this feature.
Currently, you have the ability to set a FX rate at a specific value, so you could replace the play, pause, back, and flash values to set the FX rate or size at value above or below its programmed rate or size.
Buddying and segmenting is not recordable into groups currently. HES is also looking into this possibility as well, as it is a common request. There is an option in preferences to save buddy and grouping on clear. You can write macros to select the combinations for you though.
