Global shuffle or re-ordering of fixtures in cue-list windows or other field based views

Anyone know a way to 'globally' change the order in which fixtures types are displayed in cuelist windows?  For instance, lets say I've got some legacy fixtures in my programming but don't need them in my show for awhile.  I want to 'collapse' them and move them to the bottom of any window that has fields in it and do it once.  I do it in the fixture window to my satisfaction (collapse and move to the bottom) but seems that I have to then do it on a scene-by-scene, cue-by-cue, instance-by-instance basis thereafter.  Gotta be a way to do it once, right?
