Switch Net2 Devices to Net3

We upgraded our theatre installation to Gio and Response Gateways. We have three Net2 Two port nodes. I noticed in Concert there is a "Switch Net2 Devices to Net3". Does this feature converts my Net2 nodes (EDMX only) to Net3 gateways (sACN)?

    If the Gateway has Net2 printed on it, it cannot be switched to Net3 Mode.

    The first versions of Net3 DMX Gateways (ca. 2007) (with Net3 printed on them) were able to be switched between Net2 and Net3 Mode and back because they had the necessary hardware and software inside to allow this.

    Extra Information: A few years later, we were no longer able to source the required electronics to continue allowing this Net2 Mode in Net3 Gateways, and then we started making Net3 Gateways with "Net3 Only" printed on them, to show that these Gateways could only be used in Net3 Mode.

    Net3 Mode = sACN control, and ACN configuration.

    In conclusion, if your ETC DMX Gateway has Net2 printed on it, then it can only be controlled via the ETC Net2 Protocol.
