Remote access to via iPhone app

I'm trying to set up remote access for the iPhone app and am looking for the port I need to use to port forward. Also, it looks like I can only type a basic IP address into the app an not a URL or port number. Anyone find ways around this?

  • iRFR has no level of authentication built-in, and wouldn't be suitable for any wide area network routing, especially transiting the internet (which is one of the reasons why it doesn't have domain name support). It uses TCP and UDP for ports 3033-3036, and this isn't changeable from its defaults.
For a wireless router in a closed network, most routers will automatically allow the TCP connection between its wireless/local side and its wired/lighting network side - this is a very common networking scenario in many other applications.
  • I am using the Paradigm Mobile Station app. Maybe I'm in the wrong section of the forum. Sorry. It does have authentication though. And both the ports you've suggested and port 49044 that I was told about in an email do not work. When I'm on my local network, it works fine. Just looking for a way to remote access. Thanks!
  • Fair enough! It was my mistake to jump to the console remote app conclusion. I've deployed the proverbial "Bat Signal" for the architectural specialists to take a look... stand by. :)
