A3D Brightness Stacking

I'm finding in A3D that once more than a few lights overlap in the same place the resulting brightness becomes so bright and white in A3D that its very hard to see what's happening. See the attached screen grab, which is a 5 area warm/cool wash so in total 20 lamps are on with overlaps. The brightness settings are turned fairly far down but the definition of the figure, and the floor are all getting very hard to see. I've found looking at a larger rig with many lamps on and overlapped to be very difficult. Is there a way to add a control to how bright things in A3D get when they stack on top of each other? Right now I find myself adjusting the brightness and intensity setting often, but the results are not always that viewable.
