FPE Points Within Scenic Object

Is there any reason that putting the FPE Reference Points within a Scenic Object would mess up any internal operation of their use? Between standard reference points and FPE points, I found my stage was littered with lots of little red dots. It is helpful to be able to nest them within a Scenic Object (NON MOVABLE) to be able to turn them on and off depending on what I am working on at the time. Is this thinking ok? Or will I be messing with something underneath the surface as to how the FPE points function?
