OSC Output to Control QLab??

Hello,

I am trying to link my lighting and Audio/Video playback systems for a thumbing project. Does anybody know of a way to control QLab from Mosaic? I currently do not have any MIDI in the system, and to save costs, I am trying to stay away from having to purchase the MIDI interface.

I was hoping to use the Ethernet output triggers, however I am realizing I have very little idea bout implementing UDP with QLab.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Sean,

I don't have any experience with Qlab but Mosaic gives you enough options to send and receive any UDP string you wan't so if you can work out what you need to send to trigger Qlab then you can add these strings to your triggers.

You do need to type them all in manually so maybe typing them out in notepad and them copying them across into the correct places is sometimes quicker.

If you end up needing a lot of UDP triggers we might be able to streamline the process with a script or two depending on the specific needs.
