Securing network connection to controller

Hello,

Our project requires a server to connect to a Mosaic controller, and the server will activate triggers through HTTP requests similar to the controller web interface. The server may be hosted remotely, or at least, it may be difficult to directly connect the server to the controller through an Ethernet cable. While it is possible to establish this connection from the server to the Mosaic controller through basic HTTP with a username/password, it seems very insecure. Does the Mosaic controller support SSL and/or allowing only connection from specified IP addresses, or any other features to improve security? Or do you have any alternative suggestions for establishing a secure connection between a remote computer and a Mosaic controller?

Thanks very much for any help you could provide.
