Hello, colleagues.
Please help solve the following problem.
I need to get the slider position from the controller MSC using UDP datagrams when playing the timeline in real time.
Is there a way to send UDP datagrams from a script?
Hi,
Do you want the position of the timeline streamed or just at points along the timeline?
Can you describe the application of this?
Tom
Hi Tom.
I will be enough points along the timeline.
I wanted to do this:
1. when starting the main timeline, run "system with the flag set to it"
2. Hang a trigger on the flag with the "run script" action
3. in the script, take a position and send this value by UDP
in the "HELP" did not find the description of sending UDP from the script.
I need to get feedback from the MSC on the remote control panel through MQTT-cloud
You will need to Enqueue this into a soft trigger to send the UDP message.
Don't quite understand you, why not use "Soft-trig" to run the script
if I use the "Send UDP" action in the trigger, then how can I bind the "POS" variable obtained from the script to the field?
You will need to just put a variable capture into it so <s> will send the value which is passed from your script as a string
Didn't quite understand you, you can link to the instruction or description of the moment?
Have a look at this file, hopefully it explains the steps - https://www.dropbox.com/s/beym585uzb3lygm/Sending%20Timeline%20position.md2?dl=0
I have tested this on hardware to check it works.
Tom
Thank you very much, Tom. Now everything became clear. Could you tell us more about any undocumented controller features?
I apologize, Tom, found a description of the solution to my problem in the "help".
