Restore Defaults from a PTS screen?

Is there a way to have a button that would restore default presets/settings on a custom paradigm touchscreen? IE they have made rename changes to buttons and changed what the presets attached to those recordable buttons do, can defaults be restored from inside a Paradigm touchscreen?

I think the answer is no, but I'd be happy to be surprised.

Slightly easier: could a startup macro in Eos send Paradigm a value to lockout button stations? Release stations on shutdown?

Similar problem, could a page of presets in Paradigm, when a preset from a specific page is triggered active, automatically trigger a lockout state over button stations? IE we have separate pages for  WORK, SHOW. Our Consultant is asking for an automatic station lockout if a preset from one of those pages is triggered. Opposed to having a separate utility page to do the same task manually. I think we'd still want that utility and a status indicator within the screen.

  • So, as far as I know, no, you cannot reset things that you have allowed them to customize.

As for Lockouts, there are many ways to do it, including sensing DMX/SACN inputs from your console and changing Touchscreen Pages and button station pages (or locking out any or all of the above). I like to change pages on button stations, depending on location and client, so that there is 1 button that is a Panic Toggle that also shows up on Paradigm Touchscreen so that you can see/clear the Panic if needed, or be able to turn it on to override house lights or other things.

I haven't done the last one, but potentially with a page flip on a touch screen, you might be able to page flip/lockout button stations as one of the steps on the button press.

The easiest is the console lockout of button stations and/or page change on the button stations utilizing DMX/SACN. The others may require some ingenuity, but Paradigm is quite powerful with its macros and state changes. You can also switch to a different lockout level with a page change and if the button stations are on a lower lockout level, they would become inaccessible I believe (again, haven't tried this specifically, but I believe you can change individual button lockout levels).
