Paradigm sACN to override physical button

Hi everyone

Pretty new to Paradigm programming. I managed my Apex lighting desk to control the Paradigm channels, and right now have 5 buttons controlling worklights in different areas of the stage, and a Paradigm patched over sACN. When the button is pressed, it is toggling the channel state. Question: what is the best way to make sACN to override the button? Let`s say if the button says Paradigm to keep the channel ON, and sACN gives a command to this channel to go to "0", how do I make it OFF? Right now when the button is OFF - I can control via sACN the channel to ON and OFF, but then button overrides everything when pressed, and the channels stays always ON. Thank you!

  • So, this is largely installation dependent as all pieces need to support it - your SACN nodes need to support per channel SACN priority (most, if not all, ETC gateways support this). When you enable this, you can put the SACN from your console as the priority for those channels and keep Paradigm as the priority for the others.

Otherwise, you could simply set the console to have a high SACN priority when it is active - the downside being that all channel values immediately switch to that when it turns on.
