EchoTouch Offline Editor saved files location

Using the offline editor is great except if I am sent a configuration file for it and want to open it. The editor has a list of shows that must be saved somewhere on my PC. I want to add this sent file to that folder so I can open it. Otherwise, I need to save it to a USB stick, then open it from there, which seems pretty silly.

I looked through the support articles and none that I found addressed this.

On my PC, I've looked through the "Program Files / ETC / EchoTouch" folders and can't find where these are stored.

Any thoughts?

  • I typically just export to a USB stick and copy the file to my archive location.

  • OK. I guess my question is, where is that location on the PC in the program files? Because it seems silly to get the email, save it to a USB stick, then in the editor find it on the USB stick that is in the same computer. There is a location in the folders that stores the recent shows, but I can't find where it is.

  • Hi  , unfortunately the best way to access that file is using USB, as you've mentioned. Given EchoTouch is always looking to that USB for show file import, and the Offline editor is simulating that hardware, it still wants to look for an attached USB drive.

That said, understood on the concern here. We'll log a ticket to look into improving this experience in the future.
