I accidently recorded a position pallet with moving heads selected that I did not want included in the pallet. No matter what I do I cannot re-record the pallet without the unwanted moving heads. is there a way to clear that pallet chip so that I can record fresh to that pallet chip?
It's not currently possible to "clear" a palette or remove one channel's programming in the palette.
You can de-select the channel when applying the palette - only selected channels (with green box around their tile) will go to the palette, so in this example only 4 goes to Palette 1:
