is there a way to have it automatically cycle through all the gobos on a fixture. if not then that would be a cool feature.

Put a sawtooth parameter effect on the gobo channel
how would I do that. I have a color source 20.
Customising the instructions:
1. Select the fixture. Set the gobo wheel to the middle gobo
2. Go to Controls>Effects.
3. Press Add Effect.
4. Choose the Parameter tab from the tab area.
5. Select Triangle or Saw, depending whether you want it to go back through the gobos at the same speed or whip back.
6. Choose the parameter to be affected, in your case gobo wheel index presumably
7. Adjust the effect settings for the desired result. It rather depends on your fixture. You may find it does wobble or something weird from 128 to 255 so reduce the Depth to stop that.
This is a bit conjecture. I have used parameter effects but not with gobo wheels. If I have time on the desk I’ll see if it works.
thank you for the help.
I have just tried it with a cheap Chinese mini moving head. Taking the gobo channel from 0 to 255 runs through the gobos between 0 and 63 then does spins and wobbles. To achieve what I think you want I used ‘helter skelter’ effect as there didn’t seem to be ‘triangle’ as shown on the instruction manual. The gobo channel was set to 38 then the effect applied at depth of 50. This ran through the full range of gobos then back again avoiding open. The timing wasn’t perfectly regular but a better head and some further tweaking might improve this.
thanks that is just what I was needing
