Playbacks not going to full level?

Question

When I drive a channel to 255, record it to a playback, then use that playback, it only goes to 254. What am I doing wrong? 
 The Playbacks master is at full.

Make sure your Grandmaster is at full too. 
 If you don't have a Grandmaster, then I think you've encountered a limitation of an early version of the software for some types of fixture. This was corrected in a later version of console software.

 Note that there are quite a few other changes as well so wait for a suitable break in production and you'll want to have a quick look through the manual.
