Powering Down the Console

Does one need to power down the console on a regular basis? Or is the hibernate mode enough?

  • The only time a reboot is necessary is when updating the console software or the fixture library.

The console is designed to be able to remain on 24x7, as long as the ambient temperature remains reasonable.

I would note that Hibernate does consume a little power to watch for "wakeup" button presses, so I would suggest unplugging it from the wall if you won't be using it for a few days simply to save energy.
