Greetings reciprocated - but the bigger question is, “Has ETC stopped all development of the CS software?”
Possible answers:
Sorry not to have the answer to your question, but it does raise my curiosity about the use case. A change of 1 bit in an 8-bit value represents a .4% (POINT 4 percent) change in intensity (assuming a linear response from a fixture). Under what condition would this restrict the creativity of a lighting designer?
On cheap devices, where no smoothing is provided, the difference is obvious.
My 4 servocolor4K have very visible starting steps in 8 bit, it is almost invisible in 16 bit.
So now I wonder if I should change devices, my console, or hope for an update that would save me the price of 3 or 4 colorsource...
3.3.3, currently in open beta, releasing very soon.
Richard Also when are ETC reading all the fixture req ? and implemented this in fixture library ?
And reading the requisition about SW layout ?
ETC are continually delivering fixture requests, usually once a fortnight, and more often during busy periods.
The most recent fixture library can be searched and downloaded via the ETC Fixture Library Hub, here:
https://fixture-library-hub.etcconnect.com/
If the fixture you need is not already there, then please request it via the Fixture Library Hub.
As of posting, I believe there are four ColorSource console fixture requests in the queue.
