Congo and Cobalt Client Dongles now act as Cobalt Nomad 256 dongles!

Hi all -

A bonus with the version 7.1 update is that all Congo and Cobalt Client dongles now function as Cobalt Nomad 256 dongles as well. This means you can run half-a-universe from your PC in server or backup mode, as well as the traditional client operation you had before.

Client dongles are not upgradeable to the full Nomad output counts. For that you would need to invest in a new universal Nomad dongle, which can run 256, 1024, 1536 or 2048 outputs total. The universal Nomad dongle can also be used with Eos software.

Thanks!

  • A big hug for everyone. After completing all tests with my dongle CONGO, everything works, Cobalt offline editor, changes to server and works as you would expect the Cobalt software. But keep a doubt: If I connect a "Gadget usb / dmx" in the same laptop and configure the Cobalt system config to work with Gadget, I have 256 channels dmx real? I tried to read all documents on this subject, but in addition to confusing and contradictory. Best regards to all. Chief lighting technician José Miguel Lontro CAE Fig.da Foz, Portugal
