startup, monitor and display problems

Hello,
i'm using a congo junior console with a fader wing attached to it.
the software version is cobalt 7.1

When i try to start my console by pushing the button at the backside, 8times out of 10 it gets stuck in the startup process, no start screen appears, you just can't do anything.
you need to reboot, sometimes 5-6 times in a row.

today, we've got something new: in the startscreen, the monitor starts flashing, no clear image can be seen.

an other problem: we run certain shows for more than 1 day, when we try to open the showfile, all the displays left blank, everything stored under faders doesn't react.
our solution: exit to startscreen and retry.

is there a fix for these problems? is it a hardware or software problem?

Please contact your local ETC support if you haven't already done so, as this is indeed a hardware issue.

One thing to check is your monitor connections as you may have a bad cable or bad monitor.

- If your console has a Y-split cable for monitors, this may be at fault as the pins are fairly easy to damage by accident.
The Y-split is a "DMS-59" dual-video cable, you may be able to get a replacement from your local PC supplier, otherwise all ETC dealers can provide them.
