Problems when recording presets on Cobalt.

When recording multiple presets on our Cobalt 20 desk, occasionally pressing the "record" key doesn't open the "record preset" dialogue. This is more common when not recording presets sequentially. For example recording presets 1 through 15, then recording preset 20, when we go back to record preset 17 (key presses as follows "select channels at levels", "17 Record" the pop up doesn't appear. In order to work around this we have to open the sequence list, insert the preset in to the list and add the channels there. Far from ideal. Does anyone know why this is happening and how we can fix it?

Many Thanks.

  • That sounds like you may be in "Balance" mode.

Recording is disabled while you're in Balance mode to ensure you don't accidentally update/record "Only the Cyc" into a Preset when you're balancing out the cyc.

There is a "Balance" indicator at the top of all screens when it's active. Press {Balance} to toggle this mode.

    - {Balance} is a softkey, and the [Rem Dim] button can also be setup as {Balance}.
    (Use RemDim as Balance setting)
