To those of you using a Cobalt/Congo system with a server and back-up, what are equipment are you using, and how close are the server and back-up physically?
I would love to hear what is ACTUALLY being done. Also, if you have it set-up one way but wish it were done differently.
Our theater has two control locations; one is next to the FOH sound mix, and the other is in a booth. We use the FOH position the most.
Originally, I was considering a Cobalt 20 at FOH (server) and a Cobalt 10 in the booth (back-up). Now with the development of the Programming Wing, I am considering a Cobalt 20 and Cobalt Light Server at FOH, and using Nomad Puck with the programming wing in the booth when rarely needed. This way my server and back-up are right next to each other in the event of a crash.
