Yesterday i did dive into solo and mute function. This is really good stuff, but there comes a question with the solo function.
Background:
Now threre is two options that i learned about soli.
Alt1: Let's say that you run 3 masters at full. Then you hit solo and 1 master. Baam you are into solo mode.
Alt2. You press and hold Setup + a master and select solo-mode on fader.
Now here comes the request: I think that people use solo from different perspetives.
My suggestion is that you have a option in play - settings. Solomode 1 or 2.
Mode 1 would be the original like it is today.
Mode 2 would be example above (alt 2), but directly on solo button.
Example: Lets say that you have Master 1 att 100% Now you hit solo + master 2 which is on 0%.
Nothing happens.
But when you start to move master 2 this activates solo mode and master 1 mutes.
You could call this mode for "Solo only when active"
And call the original solo mode for just "solo"
The reason for request this option is that we work in different ways and this would give a live mode situation more "hands on" feeling.
