First time to updating software and need help updating

Question

Hello I am wanting to update the software on my congo which is running 7.1 to 7.2. I have downloaded the software to my laptop.what next please never done this before. Do i extract it on to a usb stick? or does it stay as a zipped file?
a step by step would be really helpful

Yes, you'll want to extract the zip and put the executable file in the root of a USB drive.

 It's always advisable to read the release notes before installing software, not only do they tell you what has changed, but also if there's anything else that needs to be done during installation, such as firmware updates etc.
