For theatre shows, I like using Changed, but it is important to remember to Set Changed, or Home Attributes, or check the record all attributes check box on the Advanced tab when you start a new section of the show.
In fact, I did this for a show I was doing today, and I was happy that I had.
If you use Active, then when you are adjusting looks remember to [Update]&[Attrib] when you want to track attribute changes.
