hazer on independent

How do you patch the hazer?
I use knobs all the time for my hazer. the smoke and fan patched on two channels (No template) And then just put one on each knob.

My hazer is patched as a device with two parameters in "beam category". Your solution came to my mind too, but I´m curious if there is a solution with hazer patched to one channel with attributes.

I never feel I need is as a device on 2ch. It's more buttons to and less control to change the fog that way.
If you put smoke and fan as attributes on masters, you need to select the device to control the values. But if you just have 2 ch on masters you can always change the values without fist select the smoke machine.
One way is to record presets with fan and smoke at full and put them on the knobs. but still more work then just have 2 channels.
