Live Layout "Greyed out" yet is visible in channel editor

Hi, 
 When I try to go to the "Layout" section on the live tab, the Layout tab is greyed out! I can, though, edit the layout in the channel layput editor. I am running 7.3.1. on Mac offline editor. Any ideas? Screenshots below.

Hit "1 [Format (F4) ]", then it will become available. 
 
The "Layout" right-click option opens the 'most recent' channel layout you've used in Live. 
If you've never used any layouts at all, or a layout that's since been deleted, then it may be greyed out. 
 
This is being improved in Cobalt v8.
