Timeserver

Hello!

Running V8.0 On a JR and a PC laptop and I'm trying to set up the laptop as a time server for the JR. the laptop is the one that have the best clock, updating from the internet now and then when connected.

I set ut the JR as a client, and giving the laptops IP in the Server IP window. all good. But the PC won't save the setting as server! I check the box for Time Server and set it as Server but when I press OK and log in once more the box is un-checked...

Any ideas how to fix this?

I don't know about Cobalt, but to do this on Eos you have to install GCE on the PC because that contains the time server component. And yes, last time I checked it needed to be GCE rather than concert.

I did the install, and then the computer wanted a restart when activating timeserver. So far so good.
But the JR do still not take the time from my PC. tried all different combos with startup but no reaction. Then only thing I haven't tested is to activate the Net2 box on the JR. but it feels weird that that have to be on!?

Just out of curiosity, are your time zones set the same on both computer and console? Are the minutes aligned but not the hour?

Same time zones. No the JR is 4min off from the laptop.

Hmm... can you pull log files from both your Computer and Console and send them in? When you save them, after it finishes scanning for files, please click the Advanced button and make sure that all of the files are selected.
